Server Technician
As an On-Site Server Technician at Swyft, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the housed servers. This role involves hands-on work with hardware installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth operation of all server infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with our remote IT team to support network operations, hardware maintenance, and data integrity. This is an essential on-site position to ensure the stability of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain physical server hardware at our Hartford warehouse.
- Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and hardware installations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot server issues in collaboration with remote IT teams.
- Monitor server performance and ensure data integrity and system uptime.
- Ensure the security of the physical hardware and the warehouse environment.
- Handle inventory and spare parts management for server components.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with server hardware and infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of server architectures, RAID configurations, and networking basics.
- Familiarity with server OS (Linux, Windows Server, etc.) and virtualization technologies.
- Ability to work independently on-site in Hartford, with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
